Waxing

If you read our 5* reviews, you’ll see that we are one of the most trusted and highly rated salons for all types of waxing in Manchester City Centre.

We use Hot Wax for sensitive areas - a wax which shrink-wraps solely around the hair, not the skin, meaning the removal process is far less painful and much gentler than traditional methods. The result is consistently super-smooth skin with minimal redness or irritation afterwards.

Hot Wax is used mostly for intimate bikini areas and underarm but can used on face if you have very sensitive skin.

We use warm strip wax for less sensitive areas.

WHAT TO DO BEFORE A WAX

  • If you normally shave we recommend to stop shaving 2-3 weeks before your wax, Hairs need to be no smaller than a grain of rice.
  • Exfoliate 24 hours before your wax. This helps remove dead skin cells and allows the wax to adhere better.
  • You can have a wax while on your period, please wear a tampon or mooncup during your waxing appointment
  • Avoid using strong skincare products, such as retinoids or AHA BHA, a few days before waxing to keep your skin calm to prevent irritation. Especially the face area
  • NO heavy lotions, body creams or oil  and deodorants the day of you waxing, come in with clean dry skin.
  • Pain Management: Consider taking an over-the-counter pain reliever, like ibuprofen, about 30 minutes before your appointment to help reduce discomfort

WHAT TO DO AFTER YOUR WAX

  • Any redness will calm down within a 1- 24 hours
  • Wear loose clothing to avoid irritating the area
